Q: Much of the information required to enter the program and receive assistance is highly confidential.  How can I be sure that it will not be seen by competitors?

A: The Trade Adjustment Assistance program is exempt from the Federal Freedom of Information Act.  All information received by the U.S. Department of Commerce or NETAAC is 'business confidential' and is not shared with any other party.
